The founders of SAS Environmental Services met working at the University in Edinburgh in 1998 where they worked on experimental oil waste treatment methods and toxicology in ecosystems. They setup the company in August 2000 and have worked together ever since, delivering the solution to oil waste around the planet.
Mark Zwinderman | CEO
Mark is the co-founder of SAS Environmental Services and working to reduce the total volume of oil waste on Planet Earth since 2000. Mark heads up the UK office and covers much of the Eastern hemisphere.
Originally born in The Netherlands and now a true Scottish native, Mark is still driven by the need to reduce oil waste where possible and even better, prevent it from being created in the first place.
Mark has a background in Environmental and Chemical Engineering and is the CEO of SAS Environmental Services since 2015.
John Harrison | COO
Co-founder of SAS Environmental Services. John covers most of the Western Hemisphere and China as well.
A Yorkshire man at heart, he is now unofficially part Scot & part Texan. His background is in environmental sciences and chemistry. John is the inventor of microemulsion technology for oil waste prevention and treatment with 12 international patents to the name.
Strongly motivated by a purpose to contribute positively to the planet we live on and our environment, John has worked non-stop to reduce oil waste, minimise wasteful working methods and build the business of oil waste treatment.
John is a true outdoors man and his love of nature drives his work to clean up oil waste.
